HOWTO: Install and use the Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 Requirements: Windows XP SP1/Windows 2000 SP3 (For Nokia 6230, Nokia n-Gage, Nokia n-Gage QD, Nokia 3650, Nokia 6600, and Nokia 7610) Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 converts video files to a 128 kbps video bit stream, which is compatible with Nokia's range of "smarter" mobiles .It is an application for converting different types of multimedia files ( AVI, WAW, MPEG, and MP3) into 3GPP/ AMR or 3GPP/ WR AMR. The 3GPP format video can be played on a PC via the Nokia PC Suite, or more likely, on your Nokia mobile phone: including the Nokia 6230, Nokia n-Gage, Nokia n-Gage QD, Nokia 3650, Nokia 6600, and Nokia 7610. The .3GP (or also known as 3GPP format), is part of the MP4 Video encoding standard that is the replacement for the older MPEG2 standard. How to get Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0? Important: Now you will need a Serial Number, but you still don't have. Press Next to continue, do not type anything.

Now you have to type your User name and Password. Press next to continue the installation. Now you will receive a Serial number via e-mail. 
Set your destination folder where you want to install Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0. 
Press install to continue.

Audio Sampling rate is converted to either 8 kHz (AMR) or 16Khz (WB-AMR - wide band AMR). Only the latest symbian Nokia phones like the Nokia 6600, and the Nokia 7610 can play wide-band AMR. Video image size can be QCIF for the bigger smartphones (like n-Gage, 6600, 7610 etc) or sub- QCIF in 128kbps Bit rate for the Nokia 6230. The maximum frame rate for all the phones is 15fps (frames per second). To select your video file, just select [File] | [Open] and go and browse for your video file. Other applications that let you do a similar thing include: Having converted your video file, you can check the output by pressing the Play button within Nokia Multimedia Converter. If you are happy with the video, now you can transfer the video file to your MobyMemory card, by either using a USB card reader (and copying&pasting in Windows Explorer), or using your supplied Nokia USB cable (or alternativley bluetooth adapter) and pasting into the Nokia Phone browser icon within Windows Explorer.
