MobyMemory MMCplus memory now available for the Nokia mobiles and other SD / MMC Phones:

For those interested, we have now launched our new range of MMCplus memory cards, which we certify as compatible with Nokia mobile phones with MMC slots, including Nokia 6230i, and others like the Nokia 9300 and Nokia 9500, and of course the venerable Nokia 6230, nGage, 6600 etc.

They are made from Samsung original memory chipsets, with SLC - single layer construction, and are fully compliant to the MMCA 4.1 specification for MMCplus multimediacard memory cards.

Available in sizes from 256MB up to 1GB currently.

What do you get with MobyMemory MMCplus that is different to MMC ?

The real-life transfer speeds possible with these cards when combined with a MMCA 4.1 specification Card reader is 10-12MB per sec write speed, which is pretty awesome. This represents about 5x improvement over standard MMC (v3.1 specification) cards.  To put in context, that means filling your 1GB MMCplus card with your music, video and games in about 2minutes..!

Remember you need the very latest USB2 card reader for this performance. Fortunately, we have an excellent model available which is discounted when you buy one of our MMCplus cards (see 17-in-1 reader option at £7.99 in following link).

These cards represent probably the best-value super high speed performance memory cards available today, with the broadest compatibility, from SD device phones, and PDAs, and digital cameras, as well as with Nokia mobile phones like the Nokia 6230i. (of course our MMCmobile range offer slightly wider compatibility, down to Nokia RSMMC devices as well, but at slightly higher cost )

NB. Please note that not many devices will utilise the wider bandwith (13-pin) of the v4.1 specification yet, and so the full speed advantages become apparent when partnered with 4.1 specification devices like our new v4.1 specification 17-in-1 reader.

We will be re-jigging the main shopping website this weekend to put more emphasis on the MMCplus range as we know they are going to be very popular, but in the meantime, please follow this link:

1GB, 512MB and 256MB MMCplus multimediacard memory cards for Nokia MMC mobile phones like the Nokia 6230i, Nokia 9500, Nokia 9300, Nokia 6230, Nokia 6600..

Yours sincerely,
